Roger H. Lang

Roger H. Lang has received his Ph.D. in Electrophysics from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn (now known as the Polytechnic University). He is a Professor in the Electrical & Computer Engineering department at GWU. His research interests include microwave propagation and scattering. During the 1980's he developed a physicsbased modeling method for vegetation. The vegetation modeling approach has been applied to both propagation and scattering problems. In 1989 he has been elected as a Fellow of the IEEE for his modeling work. He is recently elected as the Chair of Commission F, USNC/URSI. He was also a member of the Technical Program Committee for IEEE IGARSS2004. He published over 200 technical articles in journals and conference proceedings. His research is supported by NASA.
